Panic in Three Kwara Communities After Terror Group Threatens Attack

Panic has gripped residents of Ira, Inaja, and Aho communities in Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State following the discovery of a threatening letter allegedly dropped at Ira market, warning of an impending terrorist attack. The letter, reportedly written by a group calling itself “NTA (Nigeria Terrorist Association),” claimed the authors had moved from Kaiama LGA to Oyun and vowed to strike “anytime soon.”

The threat comes just days after suspected Boko Haram terrorists massacred at least 162 people in Woro community, Kaiama LGA. Security agencies have convened emergency meetings with local authorities and intensified patrols, including Nigerian Army troops from the Forward Operation Base in Ilemona. Residents have been advised to remain vigilant.
