Social media activist, Isaac Fayose, has called on Nigerians to blame former President Olusegun Obasanjo for the crisis rocking Rivers State.
This was after President Bola Tinubu declared a state of emergency in Rivers, and suspended the governor, his deputy and members of the Rivers State House of Assembly for six months.
According to Fayose, what Tinubu did was actually started by Obasanjo when he ruled Nigeria from 1999 to 2007.
Speaking 8n pidgin English, Fayose recalled how Obasanjo removed his elder brother, Ayo Fayose, as governor of Ekiti State.
On godfatherism, he said Obasanjo empowered the late Adedibu in Ibadan which led to the impeachment of Rasheed Ladoja as Oyo State governor.
Fayose also mentioned that hooliganism, ballot box snatching, rigging and other forms of electoral malpractices started under Obasanjo’s watch.
