The Returning Officer for the election, Associate Professor Nwachukwu Obiakor, declared the results on sunday.
The PDP’s candidate polled 23863 votes to defeat Hon. Dennis Agbo of the Labour Party who got 23226 votes.
Meanwhile, Commissioner for Information and Communication Enugu State, Aka Eze Aka has Congratulated Hon. Atigwe on Re-run Election Victory.
Aka in a statement issued on Sunday in Enugu, described Atigwe’s emergence as well deserved.
He said, “Hon Sir, your emergence bearing the flag of our great party PDP is indeed a testament not only to your faith, leadership capability and qualities, but also the strength of your character.
