BREAKING NEWS: Famous British Prime Minister Dead

Today, April 8, marks the anniversary of the demise of Margaret Thatcher, the iconic first female British Prime Minister, famously known as ‘The Iron Lady’. It has been eleven years since her death at the age of 87 years in 2013. During her tenure, her policies, known as Thatcherism, advocated for deregulation, free markets, and the privatization of state-owned enterprises.

Thatcher’s leadership left an indelible mark both in Britain and globally, earning her the title of the most dominant British Prime Minister since Winston Churchill in 1940.

Reflecting on her legacy, former British Prime Minister, David Cameron, told BBC, “It was with great sadness that I learned of Lady Thatcher’s death. We’ve lost a great leader, a great prime minister, and a great Briton.” He continued, “As our first woman prime minister, Margaret Thatcher succeeded against all the odds. The real thing about Margaret Thatcher is that she didn’t just lead our country, she saved our country, and I believe she will go down as the greatest British peacetime prime minister.”
