All the proceeds will go to the Eastern Illinois Foodbank. The club’s goal is to raise $2,500.

The event will be held at Dodds Park right off of Parkland Way. Right now, they have more than 60 players registered.

“It’s an extremely fast-growing sport right now. With COVID, it really exploded,” said the club’s president, Wilbur Wallis. “We’ve had the club here since 2015. It is slowly growing every year. We started doing the Ice Bowl, actually, before we even started a club. It was at right about that same time.”

If you’re interested in playing, the tournament will start just a few minutes after the player’s 10 a.m. meeting. It will cost $60 to sign up and walk-ins are acceptable.
