Edwin Castro and his ‘entourage seen checking out a multi-million-dollar garage he wants to buy – offering cash’

The 31-year-old opted for a lump sum payment of $997.6 million after taxes following the win last November.

Edwin’s odds of scooping the big payout were only about one in 230 million, according to the California Lottery.

He has since purchased a $25.5 million home in the Hollywood Hills, a $4 million property for his family in Altadena, California, and several expensive vehicles.

But it seems Edwin isn’t content with just spending his time relaxing and enjoying his cash, as he wants to get back to work and start his own business.

The U.S. Sun has exclusively obtained photos of the car aficionado and his entourage checking out a garage in Los Angeles, with a source claiming he is looking to purchase the multi-million-dollar property.

The snaps show him in his usual casual attire wearing a black T-shirt and khaki jacket, black jogging bottoms, and flip-flops with his long hair tied back in a ponytail.

He was seen with some male business associates, including a realtor, as they met with the owner of the business and discussed a possible deal.

The U.S. Sun has reached out to Edwin’s lawyer for comment but did not hear back.

Photos show the men arriving at around 3 pm on Tuesday to scope out the property, which is not officially on the market, according to the insider.

BUSINESS DREAMS

“It’s not for sale but the owner is entertaining serious offers, he’s had the family business for 45 years and it’s a great set-up in an amazing location,” the source said.

“He has been bombarded with calls about the place recently, so there is some serious competition and it would be over $6 million, the price would need to be right.

“Edwin is serious about buying a garage and said he can pay for a place in cash, he’d been shopping around and he’d want to do a lot to a place and make it his own.”

The lottery winner is a known car fan and has begun to grow his vintage car collection, which currently includes a black Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe, which costs an estimated $135,491.

Edwin has also been seen driving a white Porsche around while shopping for real estate, along with a vintage green 1970s Porsche 911 SC, believed to be worth around $50,000.

In October, The U.S. Sun published an exclusive image of Edwin eyeing up a $1.6 million Mercedes Gullwing at a supercar show.

An eyewitness at the show on August 18 said: “Nobody seemed to recognize him and he was having a great time with friends, and chatting away with car owners.

MECHANIC PAST

“I overheard he is looking to add to his collection and he has been really interested in buying a Mercedes Gullwing and loves a Porsche 959, which was also featured at the event.

“He seemed like a relaxed, normal guy, and made an effort to talk to other guests who took a shine to him. Hopefully, the money doesn’t go to his head.”

Edwin went to Crescenta Valley High School and later studied architecture at Woodbury University.

He has worked on cars for years, according to insiders, and also had a job as a mechanic.

Previous photos showed him getting his hands dirty while exiting his lawyer’s office in Los Angeles as his security team’s Jeep Grand Wagoneer needed a jumpstart.

He received help from a woman passing by with her Subaru, offering Edwin and his team a boost to restore the Jeep’s dead battery.

The lottery winner was pictured attaching the jumper cables to the white Jeep and blue Subaru.
