However, Musk doesn’t understand how it is X’s responsibility when accounts get hacked every day.

I still don’t know if I have to sue them in the U.S. or in Brazil, but I will sue them,” Janja said, per Reuters.

Musk replied to a post on X that stated Janja will sue.

It is not clear how someone guessing her email password is our responsibility,” Musk said in an X post.

Janjaa has released multiple statements over the matter showing clear frustration.

I didn’t say it’s X’s responsibility for someone to ‘guess’ my account password, but it should be the platform’s responsibility to act as quickly as possible when crimes are committed within it,” she said in the statement, per Fortune.

Janja added that she “will continue to raise questions and fight for accountability on the platform.”

She believes Musk is downplaying the situation.

“He minimizes a serious event that doesn’t just affect me, but thousands of women on his platform every day,” she said in a statement, per Fortune.

Janja explained in another X post that it took her team hours to recover her account which has 1.2 million followers.

“My network team acted quickly but the nightmare continued for an hour and a half until the lockdown,” she said in the X post.

In the same post, Janja said a 17-year-old admitted to the hacking and believes there is a broader issue towards women specifically being hacked.

It’s sad that a 17-year-old teenager, who confessed to hacking my profile, is on the internet willing to spread so much hatred and disgust towards women,” the post added.

But Janja refuses to let the hacker bring her and other women down.

She also confirmed she will stay on the platform.

“We women want to feel safe in society and also in the digital environment,” the post continued.

“We need society, in Brazil and around the world, to get involved to combat this type of crime, so commonly committed against women of all nationalities, political positions, and social classes.

“Therefore, I decided to remain firm and active on social media, one more way to continue fighting so that all women can live their lives free from violence.

“We continue together!!!”
