During City’s match against Tottenham, Son had a prime opportunity to equalize after intercepting a pass from Manuel Akanji, but his shot was saved by Man City goalkeeper, Stefan Ortega.
Reflecting on the missed chance ahead of Arsenal’s clash with Everton on Sunday, Arteta expressed his faith in Son’s abilities.
“If I had to pick a player in the Premier League for that moment then it would have been him [Son],” Arteta remarked.
He likened the situation to Michael Jordan’s experience with clutch shots, highlighting the unpredictability and beauty of sports.
