Liverpool icon, Graeme Souness has voiced his disapproval of Manchester United’s acquisitions, singling out Casemiro and Raphael Varane.

Souness suggests that Casemiro’s struggle to adapt to the Premier League’s pace and Varane’s injury-prone nature indicate flawed decisions by the Red Devils’ management.

Despite Varane’s impressive track record, injuries have sidelined him for a significant portion of his time at Old Trafford, while Casemiro’s form has dwindled since his promising debut season.

Souness questions the wisdom of United’s hefty investments in players who have not delivered the expected impact.

He made an appearance on William Hills’ Three Up Front podcast, where he said (via Manchester Evening News):

“Yeah he [Casemiro] can point to the medals which he won but he was a bit-player in a very special team. I never saw him coming to United and being the difference.
