Hon. Jonathan Vatsa, the head of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Niger State and a former commissioner for information, culture, and tourism, advised a northern sociopolitical group calling for an end to the nation’s adoption of a rotating presidency since 1999 to stop “day dreaming” and acknowledge that the arrangements cannot be changed until every region benefits from them. This advice was published in a news article published by The Sun Newspaper.

Next, we’ll decide whether or not rotation is necessary. Lack of equity, justice, and fairness continued to be the main issues this country was confronting on a national level.
