In Fulham’s recent 1-0 loss to Newcastle United, Iwobi played the full 90 minutes, boosting his Premier League minutes to an impressive 16,289, surpassing Mikel Obi’s previous record of 16,218 minutes.

Iwobi’s Premier League journey began with Arsenal in 2015 before moving to Everton in 2019 and subsequently joining Fulham last summer. He has been a regular feature for his clubs, amassing valuable playing time. This season alone, the 27-year-old has made 24 league appearances for Fulham, scoring five goals. His total Premier League appearances stand at 247, with 22 goals to his name.

Mikel Obi, the former record holder, had a distinguished career with Chelsea, where he spent 11 seasons, winning various accolades including two Premier League titles, four FA Cups, and a Champions League trophy. Obi made 249 Premier League appearances, scoring once and providing 10 assists.
