The first batch of pilgrims from Kogi State, who performed the 2025 Hajj exercise in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, will depart for Nigeria today, Monday 16 June 2025 at 2pm Nigeria Time. In a message to to the returning pilgrims, the Chairman of the Kogi state Hajj Commission, Sheikh Lukman Abullahi Mohammed, admonished the pilgrims to adhere strictly and put to practice all that they have learnt during their stay in the holy land. He said a lot of education have been given to the pilgrims during the enlightenment exercise in Mecca, and urged them to be of good behaviour as they proceed to the Airport in Jeddah for their unward journey back to Nigeria.

“I urged them to continue to exhibit the same good behaviour as they have done so far, so as to give the Kogi State Hajj Commission, Kogi State and Nigeria as a whole a very good image. The Chairman said. On his part Imam Mansur Muhammad, Director Administration, Kogi Hajj Commission, praised Allah for the smooth exercise from Nigeria to Medina and to Mecca and the entire Hajj exercise.

He noted that the Hajj exercise have been without hitches and prayed that the remaining part will equally be hitch-free, particularly their journey back to Nigeria. Speaking also, the Amiru Hajj for the 2025 Hajj exercise, Alhaji Baba Ango, commended the pilgrims for their conduct so far, and urged them to continue in the same good behaviour.
