Hazard who recently retired from international football, played alongside Mikel for five years, where they won the Premier League title, the UEFA Europa League and the FA Cup.

However, in a chat with the Obi One Podcast, the Nigerian international stated that Hazard has a way of winning the Man of the match award.

“He is the laziest footballer I’ve ever seen in my life.

“But then, come the weekend and he wins the man-of-the-match award, and then he comes in and shows everyone.

“He’s like, come on guys, you see.

Eden Michael Walter Hazard was born on 7 January 1991 in La Louvière and grew up in Braine-le-Comte. His mother Carine, and father Thierry, were both footballers.

His father spent most of his career at semi-professional level with La Louvière in the Belgian Second Division,playing mainly as a defensive midfielder.

His mother played as a striker in the Belgian Women’s First Division and stopped playing when she was three months pregnant with Eden.
