India raises white flag at LoC, effectively admits defeat

ISLAMABAD: India has effectively admitted defeat by raising a white flag along the Line of Control (LoC), Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said on Wednesday, praising the Pakistan Air Force’s swift and decisive response to Indian aggression.

Speaking to the media at the Pak-China Friendship Centre, Tarar said the white flag was raised by the Indian army at the Chora Complex, as shown in verified footage broadcast by PTV News. The footage depicted a white flag hoisted atop a structure, which the minister described as a “clear sign of retreat and acknowledgment of Pakistan’s military superiority.”

Tarar said Pakistan had responded robustly after Indian airstrikes targeted six civilian locations in Punjab and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, killing 26 people and injuring 46. “The Pakistan Air Force shot down five Indian fighter jets and a drone in a calculated and effective response,” he noted.

He further stated that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was personally monitoring the situation and that the government, armed forces, and public stood united.

“The Indian attack on civilians was cowardly and highly regrettable. In contrast, Pakistan only targeted Indian warplanes involved in aggression,” Tarar emphasized. He noted that even Indian media had started acknowledging the loss of aircraft.

Recalling Pakistan’s earlier offer for a neutral probe into the Pahalgam incident, Tarar criticized India for rejecting transparency and choosing instead to escalate tensions. “This clearly shows who wants peace and who wants conflict,” he added.

Tarar highlighted Pakistan’s immense sacrifices in the war against terrorism, saying, “We have lost more than 90,000 lives. Yet India continues its propaganda to damage our global image.”

He concluded by stating that several Indian military posts had been destroyed in retaliatory actions, and reiterated that Pakistan did not target any civilian populations inside India.
