Former Liverpool midfielder, Jason McAteer, has claimed that one Manchester United player told him that he is expecting England current head coach Gareth Southgate to replace Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford in the near future.

McAteer, who refused to mention the name of the Man United player, believes Ten Hag’s time at the Premier League club is over.

“In fact, we spoke about different names and who we thought will be a good fit and I got no inclination from him.”

“Yeah, that [Gareth Southgate] was the name,” McAteer added when asked the name of the manager that the Man United player told him would replace Ten Hag.

“Footballers have an inclination when the manager’s job is on the line and it goes around the camp, obviously they know don’t they, and I just got the feeling that it’s done, it’s done.”…Continue The Full Reading.>’.
