By the end of Day 1, India got 3 wickets, out of which Bumrah took one. The next day his brilliant bowling got him 5 more wickets, finishing the innings with the figures of 6/61. He got the wickets of Tristan Stubbs, David Bedingham, Kyle Verryene, Marco Jansen, Keshav Maharaj and Lungi Ngidi.

A brilliant century by Aiden Markram ensured South Africa scored 176, which ensured 79 as a target. He scored a vital 106 off 103, before being dismissed by Mohammed Siraj. The highest scorer after him was captain Dean Elgar, who had 12 runs on the board.

India have been given the target of 79. Despite the low score, it looks like a tough target due to the dangerous pitch. Yashasvi Jaiswal gave a good start, scoring 28 off 23 with 6 boundaries. He was dismissed by Nadre Burger after he tried to pull him for a six, but found Stubbs on the boundary instead. Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill are in the middle, chasing down the score, before Gill got bowled by Kagiso Rabada due to low bounce.
