Milan need at least €100m to extend contracts of six players

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports Milan will need at least €100m to extend the contracts of six players, including Theo Hernandez and Mike Maignan.Only two Milan players – plus Olivier Giroud, who is set to join LAFC in the summer – have a contract expiring this coming June, Luka Jovic and Simon Kjaer, but club directors are also focusing on deals that will run out in 2025 and 2026.Among them are Alessandro Florenzi and Davide Calabria (2025), Yacine Adli, Matteo Gabbia, Theo and Maignan (2026).

Gazzetta predicts extending with Adli and Gabbia won’t be too complicated, while Calabria will likely demand a pay rise. The Rosssoneri captain currently earns €2.2m per season.

However, the Serie A giants’ biggest priority remains reaching an agreement with Theo and Maignan. Both France stars have attracted interest from top clubs around Europe, so Milan directors are willing to sit down with the pair to discuss a new deal.

According to Gazzetta, Milan will need to offer both players a new four-year contract worth at least €5.5m-€6m at a net expense of at least €80m. This means that Milan will need over €100m to extend agreements with Theo, Maignan, and the other four players.

As for Maignan, it’s worth mentioning that some sources in Italy claim the ex-Lille keeper will demand an even higher salary, probably in the region of €8m per season.
