The Lagos State Police Command is set to arraign a man, Keji Ademola who allegedly brutalised and hit his former wife, Mary Olohunwa, with heavy stones before Ogba Magistrate Court 1, In Ikeja.
SaharaReporters had reported how Mary landed in hospital after she was hit by Keji Ademola.
A relation of Mary who spoke to SaharaReporters on Monday said she was accosted on her way to her shop last Thursday by her ex-husband who beat her and hit her with heavy stones.
According to the source, Ademola claimed he saw strange marks on their children’s heads. But the woman explained to him that she put the marks to fend spiritual attacks off and protect the children.
The source said after Mary was hit by her ex-husband, she started bleeding and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Pictures obtained by SaharaReporters showed Mary lying down with a bloodied face. A video also obtained showed how Ademola was apprehended by residents of the area after he had reportedly attempted to flee.
SaharaReporters learnt that Ademola was handed over to the police and had been in custody since then.
Giving SaharaReporters an update on the incident, a relative of Mary said the police are currently on their way to the Magistrate Court to arraign the arrested suspect.
According to the relative, the family is still struggling to pay Mary’s medical bills, and the doctor has advised them to enable her to have brain surgery due to her reaction since the incident. …WATCH.THE FULL VIDEO HERE
“We were only able to pay 60% of her medical bills and the doctor did not want to discharge her until the DPO stood as the surety. We are also trying to raise money for the brain surgery as advised by the doctor,” the relative told SaharaReporters on Wednesday morning..….CONTINUE.FULL.READING>>>
