Olawoyin shines as Rizespor beat Alanyaspor

The victory is the club’s 10th win of the season, moving them to eighth position on the table.

Olawoyin was set up by Berkay Ozcan during the closing stages of the game and the Nigerian blasted in to keep the game away from being redeemed by the visitors.

Olawoyin has now scored four goals in his last five games across all competitions this season.

His goal against Alanyaspor is his third league goal in addition to the five assists he ha registered this season,

Olawoyin got a yellow card in what was a tight first half that failed to produce any goal for both sides.

Rizespor had a scare when the lead they took through Rachid Ghezzal in the 46th minute was cancelled by a penalty kick converted by Andraz Sporar for Alanyaspor in the 65th minute.

However, Rzespor restored their lead through Ali Sowe in the 71st minute before Olawoyin gave the visitors no chance by sealing the game 3-1 in the 85th minute.

The former Rangers International player came off for Mithat Pala in additional time as Rizespor held on for all three points.
