The ruling party stated that the PDP has failed to control its supporters.

Speaking on Thursday during a press briefing, the state APC chairman, Aliyu Bello urged the PDP members to come up with ideas that could be beneficial to the state instead of making inciting comments.

He lamented that the PDP has turned into political extremists constantly chanting war songs and attacking different people.

According to him, “Let me state here that Nasarawa is a peaceful state, inhabited by peaceful and peace-loving people. The citizens are committed to pursuing peace irrespective of the lineages, languages and religions they have chosen to practice, as no one can claim superiority over another.

“The opposition (PDP) has failed to control their supporters who have turned into political extremists and fundamentalists chanting war songs, attacking personalities and profiling persons perceived of divergent political views, all in their desperation to gain access to power.

“This, from all shades of evaluation is opposition taken too far. It is completely alien to our political culture, indecorous and unacceptable for a political party to continue to fan the embers of disunity in the state.”
