Paris Olympics decision not part of contract talks between Real Madrid and Kylian Mbappe

Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe is by all accounts on his way to Real Madrid this summer, but there has been a degree of debate about when he will make his debut for Los Blancos....CONTINUE.THE.FULL.READING OF THE ARTICLE>>>

The 25-year-old will be present at the Euros for France, and has also declared a desire to play in the Olympics in his home city, which starts 10 days later and ends the week before Real Madrid kick off their La Liga campaign.

France manager Didier Deschamps has admitted that Real Madrid have sent a letter to the French Football Federation declaring that they will not be ceding any of their players for Olympic duty, as per Diario AS. That would rule out Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni, as well as potentially Mbappe.

There had been talk that the decision on whether to allow Mbappe to go to the games could be a source of tension, and potentially a point of negotiation with Real Madrid, but Matteo Moretto has informed Fabrizio Romano’s Daily Briefing that this is not the case. Mbappe will not force the issue with Real Madrid, and it will not have an impact in talks over a contract.

While it is a once in a lifetime opportunity for Mbappe, Real Madrid will not doubt fear the physical impact of two international tournaments in succession on a star signing. In addition, the presence of Mbappe on their tour of the USA in preseason could mean millions more in revenue for Los Blancos.
