The 2023 presidential candidate for the Labour Party, Peter Obi will appear on Arise Television on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, to speak on the state of Nigeria’s democracy under the administration of President Bola Tinubu.

In an e-poster shared by Morris Monye, a member of the Obidient Movement, Obi would be a guest on the television’s Prime Times by 8 pm (West African Time).

This particular session themed, “Democracy Under Tinubu’s Watch”, Politics Nigeria gathered is aimed at x-raying the reforms and political decisions taken by President Tinubu since assuming office in May 2023.

Obi’s appearance on the TV programme comes barely days after the President declared a State of Emergency in Rivers State, suspended the governor, his deputy and all other elected officers.

The president also appointed a retired Navy chief as the sole administrator of the state, an action which has been condemned by many including political leaders, former presidents, scholars, legal practitioners, the Nigerian Bar Association, among others.
