Real Madrid have already held internal discussions about £158,000-a-week Arsenal man

Members of the Real Madrid hierarchy have apparently been discussing the impact Mikel Arteta has had at Arsenal as they begin their search for a new manager.

The Galacticos and Carlo Ancelotti are likely to part ways in the summer, with the Italian expected by many to take over the Brazil job. It doesn’t look like Arteta is in contention for the Real Madrid hot seat, but his name has been discussed nevertheless.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is one of the best in the world.

Yes, he hasn’t won the Premier League or Champions League yet, but the work he has done at Arsenal in what is his first job ever as a manager is nothing short of remarkable.

Arteta took on the Arsenal job when we were terrible. He had to completely transform the club over the years, and he has made us serious title contenders now.

Miguel Delaney has claimed in his newsletter this week that Real Madrid are looking at Xabi Alonso, who is the same age as Arteta.

The journalist claims that there are no real concerns about the Bayer Leverkusen manager’s lack of experience because of discussions Real Madrid’s officials have had about Arteta’s impact at Arsenal.

Speaking about Alonso, Delaney wrote: “It would be quite a quick leap in the 41-year-old’s managerial career to take such a job, but there isn’t much concern at the Bernabeu.

“They had already been discussing Mikel Arteta’s impact at Arsenal despite the fact this is his first job. They believe Alonso is more than capable of similar.”

Arsenal and Arteta have changed the game for managers

Arsenal had plenty of opportunities to sack Mikel Arteta during our difficult times in his first two and a half years at the club.

Stan and Josh Kroenke were under enormous pressure from some fans, pundits and the media to get rid of the £158,000-a-week Spaniard, but they kept their faith in him and are now being rewarded.

Numerous clubs seem to be following what Arsenal have done. It looks like managers are getting more time now – just look at Erik ten Hag at Manchester United and Mauricio Pochettino at Chelsea.

Like it or not, Arsenal and Arteta have changed the game for other managers in the Premier League..…CONTINUE.FULL.READING>>>
