Remi Tinubu reacts to Senator Natasha’s allegations against Akpabio

Senator Oluremi Tinubu, wife of President Bola Tinubu, has weighed in on the controversy surrounding allegations of sexual harassment against Senate President Godswill Akpabio by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

Speaking ahead of International Women’s Day, Senator Tinubu stated that the Senate is a “matured” institution that deserves respect.

She expressed confidence that lawmakers are handling the situation appropriately, stating, “I believe that Senate is doing what is needful.”

Senator Tinubu, who served in the Senate for 12 years, urged women to assert themselves in leadership roles and not allow themselves to be marginalized.

She advised women to stand firm and assert their authority, saying, “You can always shut them down before they start.”

Her comments come as the Senate faces scrutiny over its handling of the allegations, with many calling for a thorough investigation.
