Senator Natasha Returns to Senate, Refuses to Stand for Akpabio

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the lawmaker representing Kogi Central, has returned to the Senate chamber amid ongoing controversy with Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

Her arrival follows the resumption of plenary after a one-week recess.

Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan entered the National Assembly complex accompanied by her husband.

She received a kiss from her husband before proceeding into the chamber to take her seat, the new seat assigned to her.

Recall that following the confrontation with Senate President Akpabio over the change of seating position, Akpoti-Uduaghan later accused Akpabio of sexual harassment.

Meanwhile, the female senator refused to stand when Senate President Akpabio entered the chamber, a departure from the norm typically observed by lawmakers.
