“This Injustice Will Not Be Sustained” – Natasha Rejects Senate Suspension [VIDEO]

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central in the National Assembly, has rejected her six-month suspension by the Senate.

She described the decision as unfair and vowed that it would not stand.

“This injustice will not be sustained,” she declared before being cut off and led out of the Senate chamber.

Senator Natasha’s suspension follows her public accusation against Senate President Godswill Akpabio. She had alleged that Akpabio was punishing her for rejecting his alleged sexual advances.

This followed an earlier disagreement with the Senate leadership over the change of sitting arrangement.

Meanwhile, the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions reviewed the matter and recommended her suspension. The Senate on Thursday upheld the committee’s decision.

According to the committee’s ruling, Senator Natasha will not receive her salary during the suspension period. Additionally, her official security details will be withdrawn.
