To promote decency, Yobe Hisbah destroys 51 cartons of alcohol

To promote decency and protect societal values, the Hisbah Board in Yobe State has destroyed 51 cartons of alcohol.

The leadership of the Yobe State Hisbah Commission said the action is aimed at promoting peace and upholding high moral standards among residents of the state.

Yahuza Abubakar, the Executive Chairman of the commission in the state said the destruction of the various brands of alcohol by Hisbah aims to enforce laws that promote decency in Yobe.

Abubakar also said that the consumption of alcohol is dangerous to the health and well-being of the people.

He noted that while the distribution, sale and consumption of alcohol are still prohibited under the law in the state, Hisbah will continue to promote social harmony among the people,
