Bukayo Saka cups his ears at Tottenham fans as he doubles Arsenal lead as Gunners run riot in north London derby

Bukayo Saka appeared to cup his ears at the Tottenham fans twice as Arsenal took an early 2-0 lead in the north London derby.

The Gunners went 1-0 up with just 15 minutes on the clock, with Spurs star Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg turning his header into his own goal following Saka’s corner.

As Arsenal’s players ran off to celebrate, TV cameras picked up Saka running from the corner flag to join his teammates.

But before he reached his teammates, he appeared to gesture towards the home fans behind the goal, raising his right hand to his ear.

Tottenham then thought they’d equalised just seven minutes later, only for Micky van de Ven’s effort to be ruled out for offside.

Saka then rubbed further salt in Spurs’ wounds as he netted in his side’s second.

Kai Havertz sent a delicious ball over the top for Saka to run on to, with the winger going on to tuck the ball into the bottom left hand corner.

The England international cupped his ears with both hands this time as he ran off to celebrate putting his side 2-0 up.

The Gunners dampened Spurs’ afternoon even further just 10 minutes later.

Ange Postecoglou’s side were undone by yet another set piece, with Havertz rising highest to head past Guglielmo Vicario.
