Friends informed the Mirror at the time that Kate, who had just been chosen to fill in for Fiona Phillips during her maternity leave on GMTV, had thrown her husband out of their £500,000 Cookham, Berkshire house after he had allegedly confessed.
A close acquaintance insisted, “She says he was cheating on her for some time, which is why she threw him out.”
She was suspicious of him because he was frequently going out and staying gone.
Call it women’s intuition, but Kate could not shake the persistent worries that anything was wrong, even if he consistently denied anything was happening.
