Wike states reasons behind the conflict between him and his successor, According to Siminalayi Fubara

He vehemently disapproved of Fubara’s choice to associate himself with his political opponents, according to Premium Times.

Wike stated that it’s not right to collaborate with those who opposed him during his political struggles to attain office. He clarified that his concerns were not related to financial gain but rather Fubara’s apparent attempt to gain control of the PDP structure in Rivers State. Wike stated firmly that he would protect the state’s political structure and resist any interference.

“You cannot work, and people will begin to bring enemies; those who fought you when you were struggling for the person to be in office. Nobody does that.
