June 12: Soyinka Weeps Over Late Renowned Nigerian Activist, Dr Beko Ransome-Kuti

Soyinka described how Beko once asked to purchase an equipment with which he intended to take out the military strongman and then Head of State, late Sani Abacha. Nobel laureate, Prof Wole Soyinka, has wept over renowned Nigerian physician and human rights activist, late Dr Beko Ransome-Kuti, during a media briefing in Lagos.

Soyinka spoke on Friday at the gathering of select journalists and friends in Lagos State, reminiscing about his experience during the June 12 struggle.
