Amnesty Condemns Jilli Market Air Strike, Says 100 People Killed

Amnesty International has condemned a military air strike on Jilli market along the Borno-Yobe border, alleging that over 100 people were killed. The rights organisation said witnesses reported that three military jets fired on the market on Saturday.

It added that the emergency unit of Geidam General Hospital has received at least 35 people with severe injuries. Amnesty called the strike “unlawful, outrageous” and accused the military of “shocking disregard” for civilian lives.
