“Children Are Primary Victims”: Israel Writes UNICEF Over Iranian Missile Attacks

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs has written to the United Nations Children’s Fund, alleging that Iran is carrying out indiscriminate missile attacks on civilians, including children, and calling for international condemnation.

In a letter dated March 23, Deputy Director General Nina Ben-Ami detailed several incidents, including a March 21 strike on Rishon LeZion where a ballistic missile equipped with cluster munitions struck near a kindergarten and daycare complex. The letter also cited attacks in Arad and Dimona that injured dozens of children, including infants, and noted that thousands of Israeli children are receiving psychological care for severe anxiety caused by the conflict.
