Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Begins Probe Into Alleged Civilian Casualties in Jilli Market Air Strike

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has launched an investigation into claims of civilian casualties during airstrikes near Jilli Market along the Borno-Yobe border. Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame said NAF treats “all reports of possible civilian harm with the utmost seriousness.”

The Chief of Air Staff has activated the Civilian Harm Accident and Investigation Cell (CHAI-Cell) to conduct a fact-finding mission. NAF earlier confirmed mop-up strikes but did not state whether civilians were killed.
