Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff, Christopher Gwabin Musa, has warned that anyone supporting bandits or terrorists will be treated the same as the criminals themselves.

He made this known during a recent visit to Kaduna, where he said those providing assistance whether through trade, information, or logistics would be identified and dealt with accordingly.

The statement suggests a tougher security approach that goes beyond targeting attackers to also focus on their support networks.

Nigeria continues to face security challenges, especially in the northern region, where banditry and insurgency remain major concerns.

Christopher said, “Now, our new strategy: A friend of a thief is a thief. Anybody who is doing any trading or providing any support to them, we will find you together and we will deal with you like bandits, like terrorists.”
